Michael Peschel brings 50 years of high voltage industry experience to his new venture, Peschel Energy. As Chairmen, Executive VP, and Director of Technology at HVI, Michael played a pivotal role in building the company from the ground up, helping to establish HVI as an international leader in high-voltage testing and equipment. His vision, expertise, and leadership in growing global sales have earned him a trusted reputation in the industry.

Building on a legacy that began with Michael’s grandfather, Peschel Energy carries forward a tradition of excellence in the high voltage industry. Michael’s father revolutionized the field by inventing high-voltage testing equipment that became the industry standard. This innovation continues to define the company’s legacy, ensuring that safety, precision, and quality are at the core of everything we do.

With his extensive background, Michael is now focused on the future with Peschel Energy. Drawing on decades of hands-on experience, Michael's consulting services specialize in high-voltage testing solutions, offering cutting-edge strategies that address the modern challenges of the industry. His new venture upholds the same values of innovation, safety, and excellence that have defined his family’s name for generations.
Three Generations of High Voltage Excellence
Starting in the 1950s, Stephen S. Peschel founded Peschel Instruments, specializing in HV DC power supplies and hipots. His sons, Stanley and Frederick, joined the company, which was later acquired by Hipotronics, Inc. in 1988. Stanley had founded Hipotronics in 1962, pioneering cable testing technology among other areas. His sons, Michael and Stephen, worked there from their youth until 1990 and 1992 respectively, when it was acquired by Hubbell, Inc. Michael went on to start Peschel Energy, Inc., Western Utility Sales, and TechTeachUSA. In 1998, Stanley founded High Voltage, Inc. (HVI), developing groundbreaking VLF technology and the top field test equipment in the world. Michael joined in 2001, driving domestic and global sales along with brother Stephen. After Stanley's death in 2002, Michael became Chairman, and Stephen President/CEO. In 2024, Michael left HVI and launched a new version of Peschel Energy, LLC in 2025. Stay tuned for what's next.
